Union Sportsmen’s Alliance to Award Member With NASCAR Weekend Package
For Immediate Release September 24, 2009
NASHVILLE, Tenn.—One lucky member of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance and a guest will head to the Lone Star State in November for a weekend of NASCAR racing at the Texas Motor Speedway, compliments of the USA and Beretta.
The fully-loaded prize package valued at more than $6,000 includes airfare, three nights lodging, two tickets to the fall 2009 Texas Motor Speedway weekend races along with VIP passes to the Beretta private suite and pit passes. Plus, the winner will receive a brand new U.S.-made Beretta American Citizen shotgun.
Bob Wewers, a member of Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local 10, was the winner one of the motorsports packages in 2008. “I had never been to a NASCAR race before,” said Wewers. “But thanks to Beretta and the USA, my first experience was unbelievable – everything was top-notch.”
“I got headphones and got to listen to the crew chiefs talking to the drivers. Just seeing them on the track was overwhelming,” said Nick Kashi, a member of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 639 who won the second package last year. “It’s a whole different experience than watching it on TV.”
“For the third straight year, we will be able to give a member of the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance the opportunity to experience NASCAR racing front and center, thanks to our partnership with Beretta,” said USA Executive Director Fred Myers. “Beretta shares the passion so many union members feel for the great outdoors and has been extremely supportive of our union-dedicated program from the beginning. We are proud to have Beretta on our side.”
Benefits of the USA, North America’s premier hunting and fishing club exclusively for union members, retirees and their families, include chances to win hunting and fishing gear along with special packages like the Texas Motor Speedway trip.
