PAC Wins Big in Woodburn, IN

United Steelworker members from Local 715 in Woodburn, IN can be proud of their accomplishment as their local recently pledged $600 per week to the Political Action Committee (PAC) fund.

In the fall of 2006, the local began a raffle for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle or a cash prize of $10,000. Union members were given one chance ticket for every dollar pledged to the local’s Political Action Committee (PAC) fund.

At Local 715’s annual Christmas party in December 2007, a ticket belonging to Dennis Eaglin was drawn. He had pledged $5.00 per week to the PAC fund.

On hand for the festivities and the draw was Jill Long Thompson, Local 715’s endorsed candidate for Governor of Indiana.

Although Dennis considers himself a winner with the $10,000 prize, the biggest winner in this draw was PAC.
