Health Safety and Environment Committees

Protecting worker rights to a workplace free of all hazards is one of the most important jobs of our Union.  The job of Local Union Health, Safety and Environment Representatives is vitally important in eliminating work hazards.

Joint Labor-Management Health & Safety Committees: Health and safety must be a shared interest of management and workers. Typically, this will result in an improved quality of work life and a positive atmosphere for production. The best way to ensure that everything is done to prevent accidents and reduce health hazards is to involve people from all levels within an organization.
