Export Tires Not Jobs!

Bridgestone Firestone Day of Action

Nearly 6,000 USW members work for the Bridgestone Firestone tire company in the United States. Unlike the other major tire companies, Bridgestone Firestone has been unwilling to sign a union contract that maintains the same high standards for workers.

Instead, the company has threatened to shut down plants and move more jobs overseas. However, workers and the public have mounted a campaign to bring Bridgestone Firestone back to the bargaining table.

And on February 16, we need your help.

Nissan is a major customer for Bridgestone Firestone tires. On February 16, as the workers return to fight for a fair contract, demonstrators from around the country will be raising awareness outside of Nissan dealerships, demanding that Bridgestone Firestone export tires, not jobs.

If you are interested in taking part in this important day of action, please call 412-562-2382 or jvandenburgh@usw.org.
