Tracy Turner hails from USW Local 1155L in Morrison, Tenn. Her activism in WOS began when she started with her local over ten years ago. A few of her main concerns are healthcare, shift work and quality of life.

Dorothy Sanderson, a union member for 24 years, is with USW Local 1976 in District 6. This is her first year in joining the Women of Steel program. Dorothy believes she is the only woman who is an owner/operator in the trucking industry. If there are any others like her out there, she would like to know. |
| Ucinda Sims has been a member of USW Local 286 in Lincoln, NE for 23 years. Besides her work with WOS, she presently serves as financial officer of her local, is the past President of the United Steelworkers Press Association and assists with communications in District 11. |

Barb Gieser, a relatively new union steward from USW Local 13691 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario believes healthcare and child care are major concerns for her.

Wanda Holmes has been a union member for 25 years with USW Local 507 in District 7. She joined the WOS program after observing the togetherness, helpfulness and involvement women had at a WOS event.

Rosa Marie Rodriguez from USW Local 1010 in District 7 has been a union member for 29 years. She found that the Women of Steel courses helped to build leadership development and gave women access to the working tools she needed. That was 10 years ago when she joined the WOS program. |
| Keli Vereb from USW Local 1408 in District 10 believes health care and member benefits are the most crucial issues. A member for 12 years, Keli became active in the program after serving as a coordinator for the Stand-Up-For-Steel campaign. |

Marj Breman, a union member for 17 years from USW Local 9074 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, has been Woman of Steel member before an actual organization was actually formed.

| Debi Tomlinson is a coordinator with the WOS program. Her home local is USW Local 985 in District 9. She feels the most important women’s issues are equality in the workplace, wage equality and stopping harassment. She is now president of her local after 17 years of service. |
