The Steelworkers are now the largest private sector industrial union in North America. They have formed an alliance with the Sierra Club to endorse a "New Apollo Project" advocating for strategic government investments for clean energy technology and in sectors of the economy like transportation, manufacturing and construction, to achieve energy independence and create millions of next generation jobs.
