Ohio Blue Green Alliance Meeting A Success
State AFL-CIO endorses coalition
The Ohio Blue Green Alliance met last week to discuss solutions to create jobs, protect the environment and end our dependence on foreign oil. Over twenty representatives from a variety of labor, family farm and environmental organizations convened in Columbus, Ohio.
“We’ve lost 236,000 jobs in Ohio since 2001,” said Ohio Associate Member and Blue Green Coordinator Jennifer Kuhlman. “We’re working together to build a sustainable alliance for safer communities, better jobs and the protection of our air, water and land.”
On January 28, the executive board of the state AFL-CIO anonymously passed a resolution pledging their support for the Ohio Blue Green Alliance.
