Washington BGA meeting a success
Wenatchee, WA -- The Steelworkers, in partnership with the Sierra Club, held the first meeting of Washington State's Blue Green Alliance on August 10, 2004, in Wenatchee, Washington.

The meeting was held in the center of Washington State and over 30 participants representing at least 23 different labor and environmental organizations discussed how unions and environmentalists can collaborate on shared goals. Many expressed a sense that something important and exciting will come out of the discussions. |
Participants offered a broad range of issues for cooperation. The representatives will soon meet again to chart the next steps.
