USW, REP Reach Tentative Agreement on 5-Year Contract
The United Steelworkers (USW) today announced that the union has reached tentative agreement on a new contract with Fairlawn, Ohio based Republic Engineered Products (REP) and has, after months of intense negotiations and working past contract expiration, averted a labor dispute.
Approximately 2,000 USW-represented hourly production and maintenance and office and technical employees at REP facilities in Lorain, Canton and Massillon, Ohio; Lackawanna, N.Y.; and Gary, Ind. will discuss the proposed agreement with their local and international union negotiating committees before voting on whether to accept or reject the proposed five-year contract.
