Honoring Injured and Killed Members From International Headquarters
Workers Memorial Day 2008 Each year, on April 28th, working people in 29 countries mourn for those who were hurt or killed on the job, and renew our struggle for safe workplaces. In the U.S., that day is called Workers Memorial Day and in Canada, Day of Mourning. In 1984, Canada marked the first Day of Mourning, which is now observed around the world. ...... more
