Communication Scholarship Program

Under the direction of the United Steelworkers (USW) Communications Department, this Scholarship Program is conducted bi-annually for Editors or Webmasters of local union publications or websites. This training is provided to enhance the skills of experienced communicators with basic computer knowledge. The course involves an intensive but educational week of training for communicators. Candidate names are submitted to District Directors who decide on how many participants are selected to represent their respective districts.

  • Improving graphic content, design and layout of your local union newsletter

  • Developing and disseminating messages
