Fatality & Serious Accident Investigation Results

The USW Health, Safety and Environment Department investigates accidents that cause fatal, disabling or life-threatening injuries.

Accident Investigation

Workers must rely upon their co-workers for most of their information about accidents and illness in their workplace. Keep in mind that the investigation and reporting of accidents and diseases becomes necessary only after the damage was done. It does nothing to prevent occupational accidents or disease.
Our goal as workers concerned with health and safety must be to use the information we obtain through our investigations to press for improvements that will prevent further damage to ourselves and other workers.
